Anyone who claims AOC should become the face of the Democratic party learned nothing from the 2024 election. However, we can only hope that the DNC jumps on this bandwagon, as it does them no favors while landing Republicans more wins than the left could have ever imagined.
Jamaal Bowman claimed that the problem with the Democratic party is not that they have gone completely insane, but that they just need a new face. Mike Lawler, who has hinted he wants to run for the Gov. of New York, responded by claiming this will "mobilize voters way more than Nancy Pelosi ever did."
Although the Dems are indeed controlled by a bunch of out-of-touch career politicians who represent the faceless bureaucracy, the problem is so much more than that. Everything that AOC stands for is exactly why the left lost.
As Lawler said, she has championed policies that helped destroy New York City and the American people will never stand for that.
Oh yes, this is definitely what will win over swing voters.

Everything she's promoting will make everyone worse off and increase the cost of living more than Biden could have ever slept through. Nonetheless, Americans are not stupid enough to believe that just because you raise the minimum wage that will magically start making things affordable. We don't need anymore evidence that proves a forced wage increase increases prices and increases unemployment.
Just because someone is young, does not mean they stand on the right side of the issues. Thus, we can only hope someone like her becomes the new face of the Democratic party.
