Deanne Criswell, the former head of FEMA, went on CNN to not only pat herself on the back for the abysmal response in North Carolina but also proceeded to victim blame while implying any criticism of FEMA is rooted in ignorance.
There are so many things wrong said in just those few sentences.
Firstly, the fact that she’s so arrogant that she believes anyone in North Carolina is anything but grateful proves how all you need to know about this woman. Secondly, people are still suffering, and the organization cannot even be bothered to pretend to care. Thirdly, her interpretation of things is so delusional and a level of incompetence that no one thought was possible.
Additionally, the fact that she decided to blame the victims, as if they do not have a clue about what is going on, is proof of how little she cares.
The Biden Administration's response to these victims showed such a lack of remorse that you don’t even see in third-world countries.
Remember when FEMA refused to help Trump supporters because they equated them to "vicious dogs"? It appears that Criswell may have forgotten about that.
And what about these empty trailers? Is it still the victims' fault that they don't understand why they are empty?
Criswell embodies everything wrong with the bureaucracy, and even if they tried, they would not prove to be more incompetent.
