Biden would have never gotten as hard as he did had it not been for Big Tech and the mainstream media. CNN’s Jake Tapper never had a problem with this before but is now sounding the alarm because America is “about to enter an era of deepfakes and all sorts of misinformation.”
These people are so disingenuous, as people like Tapper have been proven to be largely irrelevant.
I don’t recall him sounding the alarm when Zuckerberg censored Americans over COVID “misinformation” that was actually more correct than anything the “experts” were pretending to know. I also do not recall him having a problem with Zuckerberg helping to fund the 2020 election, which is probably because he was one of the biggest contributing factors to the left winning.
When the left wins elections, censorship is nothing but getting to the truth. However, when they lose elections, they sound the alarm on Big Tech overlords having too much power.
You really cannot make this level of insanity up. Everyone knows that Conservatives are overwhelmingly shadowbanned and censored compared to the left and it's not even close. And the only reason they have a problem now is because many of these companies are at least pretending they will try to be objective.
The main reason AOC is crying is because she's fearful of how much effect this would have on the younger generation, as the last thing they need is for Gen Z to believe Trump saved TikTok. Nonetheless, that is a personal problem, and the left needs to accept they no longer have the monopoly on information they once had.
